9:00 – 12:30 MORNING SESSION: Final Meeting of MARE/2020/08 Regional Grant – ‘Development of the regional database for the Mediterranean and Black Seas’ [RDBFIS]

RDBFIS was launched in 2020 by DG MARE to develop a regional database (RDB) for the Mediterranean and the Black Seas. It was tasked to develop a web-based integrated fisheries information system, with the aim to: (i) enable reliable scientific advice and support the work of the RCGs, (ii) facilitate the work of the EU MS, (iii) allow end users to calculate statistical estimates of data tailored to their needs and help to streamline and ease the reporting of MS on the EU data collection. The duration of the grant was 24 months, from 01/01/2021 to 31/12/2022, with an extension of two months.

14:00 – 17:00 AFTERNOON SESSION: Kick off Meeting of specific Contract N°04 – CINEA/EMFAF/2021/3.1.2/03/SC04/SI2.881222 – ‘Hosting, maintenance and further development of the regional database for the Mediterranean and the Black Sea’ [RDBFIS II] under the Framework Contract Mediterranean and Black Seas (EASME/2020/OP/0021)

The main aim of the study is to work on the hosting, maintenance, fine-tuning and/or further development of RDBFIS. In addition, it aims to provide support to the users of RDBFIS. This specific contract enters into force on the 01 April 2023 and the total duration shall not exceed 24 months.
